MSA Development

Working with the next generation of surfers

MSA Development is a structured high-performance program designed to take surfers from junior and WQS level through to Championship Tour and Olympic competition. The program is built on Glenn's decade of experience developing world champions and Olympic medallists.

The MSA approach is built on four pillars:

Philosophy:

the art of coaching is choosing the right message at the right time, presented in the simplest and clearest format.

Theory:

a development journey mapped through a structured pathway, enabling each surfer to track and understand their own progression.

Delivery:

mapped to the individual and personalised, while remaining scalable across a group program.

Experience:

MSA provides the tools, environments and mentorship to deliver the full coaching experience.

Japan National Program

MSA has been engaged by the Japanese Olympic surfing program to deliver a structured 3-year elite development program for Japan's top junior and WQS surfers. The program is designed to develop the skills, mindset and competitive experience required to win World Titles and Olympic medals.

Stage 1 includes two camps — one in Japan and one in Australia — incorporating wave pool sessions and competition sparring with elite Australian surfers. Focus areas include talent identification, skillset and repertoire assessment, competition skills testing, goal setting and long-term planning.
